Physical Security Technology Analyst – Dublin
€60,000 per year | Full-time | Dublin | Office-based | Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00
We are looking for an experienced electronic security systems professional to join a managed services team supporting a major data centre client with more than 80 sites across Europe.
This is a technical, customer-facing role supporting a large-scale physical security technology environment. You should have a strong background with a security systems integrator, with hands-on experience in access control, video surveillance (CCTV/VMS), systems programming, application engineering and security-related networking.
Data centre experience would be a strong advantage but is not essential.
This is not a security guarding position or a general IT support/networking role.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5+ years’ relevant experience in electronic security systems, ideally gained with a security systems integrator
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise access control and video surveillance/VMS
- Proven systems programming, configuration, commissioning and application engineering capability
- Good understanding of IP networks and networking specifically as they relate to physical security systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills – able to investigate and resolve problems rather than simply escalate them
- Experience dealing directly with customers and taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Professional, personable and confident representing a managed service to a major international client
- Able to support, coach and share technical knowledge with junior analysts
- Data centre experience preferred, but not essential
- AMAG and/or Lenel experience advantageous
- Must currently live in and be based in Dublin
The role
You’ll provide technical support and application engineering for enterprise physical security systems protecting a data centre estate of 80+ sites across Europe.
You’ll troubleshoot access control, video surveillance and integrated security systems; investigate application, server, network and device-related problems; manage technical work orders; and work directly with customers, vendors and security integrators to drive issues through to resolution.
You’ll also provide technical guidance to junior analysts and help maintain a consistently high standard of service across the European estate.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing position. We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability and problem-solving skills with maturity, professionalism and excellent communication.
