Tax Consultant
Location: Barna, Co. Galway
Job Type: 4-day working week
Office Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday
Full-Time Hours: 30 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate start available
Coll & Co, “The Tax Specialists”, is a boutique tax and accountancy practice providing independent tax advice to individuals, business owners and SMEs.
We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our expanding tax team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and take responsibility for tax assignments from preparation through to submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Prepare tax computations across all relevant tax heads.
- Prepare income tax and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Prepare adjusted profit computations and capital allowance schedules.
- Prepare capital taxes computations, including estate and succession planning scenarios.
- Submit returns through TaxPro and ROS.
- Respond to Revenue queries as they arise.
- Manage client workloads and filing deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tax experience within an accountancy or tax practice.
- Strong knowledge of Irish personal, corporate and capital taxation.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and client communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative and prioritise workload.
- Previous experience using TaxPro would be an advantage.
