Structural Engineer / CAD Technician
Location: Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
Exciting opportunity to work within a busy, progressive and leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss Manufacturer. Focusing on individual client projects, as well as large scale developments within the residential and commercial construction sector. Involvement in projects from inception through to completion stage, with the expectation of being capable of working to demanding and exceptional standards, independently and as part of a team with open and straightforward communication. Training, support and development provided from an existing team of expert designers.
The following Experience / Credentials are essential:
- Experience with CAD Design software would be an advantage.
- Experience working with timber structure to EC5 an advantage.
- An understanding of general construction practices and procedures.
- Practical thinker with a good eye for detail and problem solving skills.
- Flexible with gaining practical experience both on site and in a factory environment.
- Establish and execute company processes by effectively utilising IT systems, and effective engagement with Clients, Management, Production Supervisors and Quality organisations.

- Knowledge and demonstrated competencies in the following is an advantage:
- Project Management experience and accountability for complex areas/projects or portfolios.
- Experience of writing technical documents
- Exceptional compliance and continuous improvement mind-set.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with experience in translating business needs into actionable plans.
- Hard working, eager and willing to learn new skills and capable of working in a busy environment.
