Property Genie.ie is seeking an experienced, skilled, and highly motivated Property Maintenance Team Leader to oversee and deliver a wide range of residential and commercial property maintenance projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong leadership abilities, proven project management experience, and a broad range of property maintenance skills to lead and develop a small maintenance team while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a small team of maintenance professionals.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage property maintenance projects from start to completion.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve skills, efficiency, and performance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, on time, and within budget.
- Organise workloads, schedules, materials, and resources effectively.
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and management as required.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions on-site.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong practical experience across multiple trades, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing
- Tiling
- Painting and decorating
- Carpentry and general repairs
- Property refurbishment and maintenance
- Basic electrical knowledge (advantageous)
- General handyman and property improvement works
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Previous experience leading, managing, or supervising a maintenance team.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to direct, train, and motivate staff effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional standards.
