We are seeking passionate, engaging and ambitious people to join our team. Moorehall Lodge, Ardee now have vacancy for Social Care Manager reporting to the Director of Nursing. The Social Care Manager will be responsible for the clinical operations of the centre, ensuring delivery of effective and person-centred care, leading teams to create a place where people can flourish.
The successful candidate will be a key team member tasked with developing and leading an innovative and varied social and recreational program for residents living in Moorehall Lodge, Ardee.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare or social care professional to be part of much needed new venture enabling the older person to improve their quality of living and social experience.
They will be a key player within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the necessary supports are put in place for each client to maximise their independence for as long as is safely possible.

Key Objectives:
-
Develop a schedule of exciting events and activities for residents at Moorehall Lodge.

To lead and develop a social programme for all the residents living in Moorehall Lodge.

To ensure the scheduling of social sessions provides maximum benefit to both the resident and the care team.

To provide leadership and management to staff team

To encourage resident to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.

To consult with each resident in order to identify their social and recreational requirements according to their likes/dislikes, abilities and personal preferences.

To produce a monthly programme of activities and social events and ensure it is communicated to all residents.

To regularly assess the effectiveness of the social events and activities programme.

To work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team in order to feedback on each residents status/participation at regular care plan reviews.

To familiarise and connect with all key community groups whose expertise would make a valuable contribution to the service.

Promote the concept of person centred care through high standards of professional practice which meet the physical, emotional, social/intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents in Moorehall Lodge.
