Job Title: Reception Supervisor – Tourist Hostel
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Experienced Reception Supervisor to lead our front desk team and ensure guests receive a warm, efficient, and professional service throughout their stay. The successful candidate will supervise reception staff, coordinate daily operations, and help maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the reception team during shifts.
- Welcome guests, manage check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handle bookings, cancellations, and payment processing.
- Respond to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Train and mentor new reception staff.
- Conduct Monthly Stock Checks
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness.
- Maintain accurate guest records using the property's reservation system.
- Ensure compliance with hostel policies, health and safety procedures, and security standards.
- Assist management with daily reports and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a reception or front office role, ideally within hospitality.
- Experience supervising or leading a team is desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with hotel or hostel booking systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
