Care Network Ireland is seeking Healthcare Assistants for opportunities within Elderly Services healthcare facilities in County Cork. Full-time and part-time positions may be available, with a range of shift patterns.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support patients and service users with their daily care needs while working as part of a wider healthcare team. You will contribute to a safe, respectful and person-centred environment across healthcare settings.

Provide support with personal care and activities of daily living, in line with individual care plans and service requirements.

Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Promote the dignity, privacy, independence and wellbeing of patients and service users.

Support the maintenance of a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Assist with meal preparation and food service in accordance with relevant food safety and HACCP procedures.

Assist with the safe movement and transportation of patients, equipment, supplies and documentation, where required.

Follow health and safety, infection prevention and organisational policies and procedures.

Complete required mandatory training and participate in relevant professional development.

QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, with all 8 modules completed, or an equivalent recognised qualification.

A minimum of 150 hours' relevant care experience in a residential, hospital or community-based setting.

Relevant and current training in Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP and CPI/PMAV, where required for the assignment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.

International Police Clearance may be required where an applicant has lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16.

Previous experience working in a hospital, healthcare or community care environment.

Knowledge of infection prevention, food safety and other relevant healthcare practices.

Hourly rates from €18.01 to €50.79, depending on the assignment, shift, experience and applicable pay arrangements.
