Urbanity coffee - daytime dining and coffee roastery in Smithfield, Dublin 7.
We are looking for a part-time kitchen porter to assist with the running of a small, but very busy kitchen. We are looking for individuals with Experience as a Kitchen Porter in another kitchen/restaurant or hotel. 16-24hrs per week. Weekday & Weekend shifts available.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the general cleanliness of the kitchen
- Collecting and washing of cutlery & equipment
- Complying with all daily/weekly/monthly HACCP procedures and duties
- Unloading deliveries
- Maintaining an organised store room & bin room
- Ensuring all surfaces are sanitised
- Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation
- Ensuring the environment is safe and secure for customers, staff and visitors
- Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitised
The ideal candidate:
- Cleanliness/Organisation is essential in this role
- Previous experience in a similar role, with 1–2 years’ experience preferred.
- Experience working in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent timekeeping is a key requirement
- Effective teamwork and communication skills is essential
- HACCP training would be advantageous
