Yard Manager/Supervisor
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations and organisation of the yard and stores including stock control, goods intake, deliveries and customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the yard and stores facility
- Be responsible for yard and stores organisation and maintain accurate stock control and inventory management systems
- Coordinate daily delivery and collection schedules to meet customer requirements
- Maintain high standards across compliance and procedures
- Manage, motivate, and support yard staff and ensure all training requirements are met
Requirements
- 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Experience in managing goods-in, goods-out, dispatch, and inventory control operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across other departments
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a focus on continuous improvement
- Forklift experience/licence essential
