B’rock Health & Wellness is a new private, 14-bed, female-only residential addiction
treatment and wellness centre based in Blackrock, Dublin.
Our 12-week residential programme will combine evidence-based addiction treatment with a strong focus on health, nutrition and overall wellbeing.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Chef to take responsibility for preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents.
The Role
As Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and preparation of meals for up to 14 residents.
The role will involve planning balanced menus, preparing and serving meals, managing food stock and ensuring excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
You will work closely with the management and clinical team to accommodate residents with allergies, intolerances, dietary requirements or other nutrition-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fresh, nutritious and balanced meals for residents.
Plan weekly menus with variety, nutrition and resident needs in mind.
Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner requirements as agreed with management.
Cater appropriately for allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements.
Manage food ordering, stock rotation and kitchen inventory.
Monitor food costs and minimise unnecessary waste.
Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
Ensure appropriate food storage, temperature monitoring and food safety procedures.
Maintain required HACCP and food safety records.
Ensure allergens are appropriately managed and documented.
Work collaboratively with the wider B’rock team.
Maintain a calm, respectful and professional approach within the residential
environment.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen.
Appropriate food safety and HACCP training.
Good understanding of food allergens and special dietary requirements.
Ability to independently manage a small kitchen.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Reliable and professional approach.
An understanding of nutrition and healthy meal preparation is highly desirable.
Experience in healthcare, residential care, hospitality or similar environments would
be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be required to complete Garda Vetting and provide satisfactory references prior to commencing employment.
