Forecourt Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a fuel station and convenience store. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, monitoring fuel and retail inventory, ensuring strict health and safety compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. - Staff Management: Create rosters, train new employees, delegate daily tasks, and motivate the retail and forecourt team.
- Site Operations: Oversee fuel dispensing, monitor tank levels, and ensure proper maintenance of pumps and equipment.
- Cash & Stock Control: Manage daily cash reconciliations, process transactions, and oversee stock rotation for both fuel and convenience store items.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving customer queries, complaints, and handling fuel payments.
- Health, Safety, & Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety regulations, ensure environmental compliance for fuel handling, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
2. Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail, convenience, or forecourt environment, preferably with some supervisory background.
- Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and proficient cash-handling and IT abilities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Health & Safety (e.g., HSA guidelines in Ireland), and consumer legislation.
3. Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Requires standing for long periods and working in all weather conditions, as tasks span both the indoor retail space and outdoor forecourt.
- May involve shift work, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
