Support Pharmacist
Schedule: Part Time
Contract: 1 year
We are looking to recruit an experienced support pharmacist for our busy, independent family owned community pharmacy in Templeogue.
This is a part time pharmacist role (3 days per week) and we are looking for a start date in August 2026. The successful applicant will be open to working every 2nd Saturday, but generally the norm is 1 in 3. There will be no late nights, no Sundays or BH. There is an excellent support team to help cater to a steady flow of customers. DispenSense is the dispensing system used. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team where double pharmacist cover is the norm.
What we’re looking for:
The successful applicant’s responsibilities will be to:
- work as part of a team with the role overseeing the day to day running of the dispensary alongside the Supervising/Superintendent Pharmacists
- dispense prescriptions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the pharmacy guidelines and SOPs in place to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
- maintain appropriate stock levels in the dispensary ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products
- oversee end of month claims and payments
- deliver expert advice by engaging actively with customers to encourage customer loyalty and confidence
- show excellent communication and motivational skills within the team
- have a strong professional ethos and commercial understanding

- Minimum 1 years' Relevant Pharmacy experience in Ireland is desirable
- PSI registered
- Some pharmacy supervision experience desirable
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends

What we require:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Community Pharmacy is desirable but not essential.
- The candidate must be qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
Salary is competitive and based on experience.
