Shop Manager – Dublin Airport

We are currently recruiting for a Shop Manager to join our team at Dublin Airport, terminal 1 for our new Deli/Food retail outlet.
We are looking for an experienced retail professional with a strong commercial mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Role Details
- Full-time, permanent position
- Rostered 5 days over 7, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Candidates must have full-time working rights in Ireland (minimum 40hours/week)
What You'll Be Doing
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the retail unit, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Leading, motivating, and developing the shop team to deliver excellent customer service
- Managing staff rosters, attendance, and performance to support operational needs
- Monitoring sales performance, labour costs, stock levels, and store profitability
- Ensuring high standards of shop presentation, merchandising, and product availability
- Conducting stock takes, managing ordering processes, and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and loss prevention procedures
- Handling customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and effectively
- Supporting promotional campaigns and initiatives to increase sales and customer engagement
- Analysing sales data and identifying opportunities to improve store performance and profitability
- Creating a positive, customer-focused environment for both customers and team members
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing store operations, stock control, and cash handling procedures
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and improve profitability
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and operational compliance
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
