About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Operations & Logistics Manager to lead and transform our warehouse and logistics operations in Dublin. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across warehousing, transport, inventory management, customer fulfilment and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of modernising warehouse operations, introducing best-in-class systems and processes, and building high-performing teams. They will be equally comfortable leading strategic planning meetings with senior management as they are spending time on the warehouse floor coaching staff and ensuring operational standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all warehouse, logistics and transport operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and service levels.
- Replace manual and paper-based processes with modern, technology-driven warehouse operations.
- Lead the implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Review existing workflows and redesign warehouse layouts and operational processes to maximise productivity.
- Manage inbound goods, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
- Oversee transport planning and delivery operations to ensure excellent customer service.
- Develop KPIs and performance reporting across all operational functions.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement using Lean or similar operational improvement methodologies.
- Manage warehouse budgets, labour planning and operational costs.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, mentor and develop warehouse supervisors and operational teams.
- Build strong working relationships with sales, purchasing and senior management to ensure operational alignment.
- Lead by example, maintaining a visible presence within the warehouse while providing strategic leadership across the business.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 15 years' experience in warehouse, logistics or operations management.
- Significant senior management experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing or construction materials.
- Demonstrable success in transforming warehouse operations and improving operational efficiency.
- Proven experience implementing and optimising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse layout optimisation, inventory management and picking/packing operations.
- Experience managing transport and fleet operations.
- Track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, accuracy and customer service.
- Experience managing medium to large warehouse teams.
- Strong financial awareness with responsibility for operational budgets and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the tile, marble, building materials or construction products sector.
- Experience introducing barcode scanning, RF technology or automation.
- Lean Manufacturing, Lean Warehousing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement qualifications.
- Project management experience involving operational change.
- Health & Safety qualifications are advantageous.

Success in this Role
Within the first 12–24 months, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Modernise warehouse operations by significantly reducing reliance on paper-based processes.
- Successfully implement or optimise a Warehouse Management System.
- Improve warehouse productivity, picking accuracy and stock integrity.
- Increase transport efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
- Reduce operational costs while improving customer service levels.
- Build a motivated, accountable and high-performing operations team.
- Establish clear KPIs and a culture of continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Remuneration
An attractive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate and will reflect the experience, capability and proven track record of the individual.
Pay: €65,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
