Ashlawn House Nursing Home is a 52-bed private nursing home located in Carrigatoher, 3.5 miles from Nenagh. We provide quality, person-centered residential care for both long and short term stays. We are recruiting for an experienced Housekeeper/Cleaner to take up a full-time position within our team. The role is subject to Garda Vetting and reference checks.
The purpose of the role of Housekeeper/Cleaner is to contribute to our 'home away from home' caring environment which we provide to our residents. The role responsibilities will include the following:
-Cleanliness within the home to a high standard.
-Familiarity with all cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment.
-Ensure all equipment and furnishings are in good working order and report any defects.
-Ensure application of Health & Safety guidelines, Infection Prevention & Control policies and all other policies as guided by HIQA standards.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant experience along with good communication skills.
Good command of the English language both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Have a kind and compassionate nature.
Good rapport with staff, residents and visitors to the nursing home.
