Team Leader – 3PL Logistics Operations

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Team Leader to join our fast-paced 3PL logistics operation. This role is responsible for leading warehouse and logistics teams to ensure daily operational targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and accurately.
The successful candidate will have experience within a warehouse, distribution, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment and will be confident managing people, driving performance, and maintaining high service standards for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse operatives across inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and dispatch activities
- Ensure daily KPIs, productivity targets, and service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively throughout the shift
- Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture
- Conduct team briefings, shift handovers, and performance updates
- Support training, onboarding, and development of team members
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, stock discrepancies, and process delays
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards
- Work closely with warehouse management and transport teams to support smooth operations
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within a 3PL, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain processes
- Experience working with KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational targets
- Good knowledge of health & safety procedures within a warehouse environment
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Competent IT skills and experience using WMS systems
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
