Mater private network is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Catering assistant to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing excellent patient experience, we want to hear from you! This is a casual on call role.
What you'll do:

Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy catering setting.

Serve food, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Manage patient dietary requirements, including modifications and allergens.

Work closely with nursing and other departments to ensure smooth service. Manage jobs
- Handle patient enquiries and complaints professionally.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Follow all catering department policies and procedures.
What you'll need:

Proven experience in a busy catering environment.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety (HACCP Level 1 & 2).

Understanding of modified diets, allergens, and fluid grades.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.

Excellent spoken and written English.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, mornings, and evenings.

Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
