Cost & Management Accountant | Supermac's Group | Galway
Ballybrit Business Park, Galway
Permanent, Full-Time
Competitive salary, based on experience
Want your numbers to actually drive decisions?
Supermac's Group is one of Ireland's largest indigenous hospitality groups, spanning restaurants, hotels, motorway service stations, leisure, and franchising. We're looking for a Cost & Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Galway, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
This isn't a "close the books and move on" role — you'll work closely with operational teams to improve margins, tighten cost control, and spot growth opportunities across a genuinely multi-site business.
What you'll do
- Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reporting, and financial analysis across the Group's business units.
- Analyse key operational costs, including food cost, labour cost, waste, and overheads.
- Develop KPI reporting that delivers real business insight.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Partner with operational managers to improve cost control and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, controls, and processes.
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CPA).
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in management accounting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
- Sharp analytical skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory and tax environment (Revenue, VAT) and familiarity with the Irish hospitality/retail supply chain are highly desirable.
- Cost accounting experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or another multi-site environment.
What we offer
- A key finance role within one of Ireland's leading hospitality groups.
- Real influence — your analysis directly shapes business decisions.
- Exposure to a diverse, multi-site operation.
- Competitive salary, pension contribution, and staff benefits.
- A supportive team with genuine growth opportunities.
If you're an experienced accountant looking for a commercially focused role with real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
