Blackbird Strandhill are looking for an experienced baker / pastry chef to join our team!
Blackbird is a Bakery, Cafe & Coffee Roaster based right by the sea in Strandhill Co.Sligo.
We are a busy cafe, serving all day brunch and delcious coffee roasted freshly in house every week. We are looking for someone with a love of coffee, and very good knowledge in brewing as well as latte art. This position may also require time on the cafe floor, so experience waiting in a fast pace busy restaurant / bar / cafe is a must.

Are candidate must
- Have a good knowledge in the preparation and handling of food
- Must be a liking to work weekends and early mornings
- Drive or be prepared to taxi / lift to work at 5am
- Consider themselves a friendly and out-going person,
- Be available work week days and weekends throughout summer and after the summer has ended.
- Be Familiar and experienced with the fundamentals of yeasted doughs, and the science and process of high quality pastry and bread Making
We are looking for a long term, committed team member to join us for the foreseeable future! If you have to return to college or school, unfortunately this position isn't for you.
