Aairex Environmental Ltd is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Site Fitters to join our team.
Aairex specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of dust extraction, fume extraction, ducting, filter plants and associated sheet metal systems for sectors including woodworking, precision engineering, pharmaceutical, construction and general manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role with approximately 70% site installation work and 30% workshop fabrication. The successful candidate will be involved in manufacturing and installing galvanised, stainless steel and mild steel ductwork, support steelwork, extraction systems, filter plant components and associated sheet metal products.
Key Duties
- Installation of ductwork, extraction systems, filter units and associated components on customer sites
- Fabrication of sheet metal products in the workshop when required
- MIG welding as part of fabrication and installation work
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, forming and assembling sheet metal components
- Working with galvanised steel, stainless steel and mild steel
- Carrying out site fitting, alterations and modifications
- Working safely as part of an installation team
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and finish
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Sheet Metal Worker or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience in site fitting and installation work
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- MIG welding experience
- Good fabrication and assembly skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach
Desirable but Not Essential
Training can be provided in-house for areas such as LEV systems, dust and fume extraction products, forklift, MEWP, Safe Pass, manual handling and other site-specific requirements.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
