We are looking for a Technician with Industry experience to join the compliance and test team as a Test Technician. The R&D Test Technician will work as a key member of the compliance and test team and will be responsible for planning, preparing and monitoring all relevant test work. The scope of the products to be tested will be broadly based on the company’s current ranges/ combinations but will also expand into new product developments and accommodate changing market demands.
The ErP (Energy-related Products) Directives are designed to drive improvements in the efficiency and performance of Heating and Hot Water products; understanding the directives and creating solutions to improve both efficiencies and performance are a key part of this role. The Test Technician will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the test work and thus enabling our products to be market leaders in both efficiency and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, setting up and executing test works.
- Detailed technical report writing.
- Supplying precise feedback on product testing performance.
- Working to applicable ErP Directives & European Standards.
- Consulting with other departments ensuring your projects stay on track.
- Day-to-day running of the workshop.
- Integrity of light installation works (piping & basic wiring).
- Workshop/ lab health & safety.
- Test facility plant maintenance
- Occasional travel (to independent test labs or site visits)
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a good knowledge and understanding of plumbing and the ability to put this into practice.
- Must have a good knowledge and understanding wiring and how to do so safely.
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Planning/ forward thinking.
Following procedures/ working to a plan of action.
- Problem solving.
- Competent technical writing skills.
- Understanding of heating and plumbing systems, preferable heatpump, boilers etc….
- Safe pass.
- Manual handling.
- Industry standards and building regulations knowledge, preferred.

Pay: €36,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
