Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Officer for a temporary contract of 6 weeks commencing in late January/early February.
This role will involve working with our client on a modular building project at a pharmaceutical facility in Co. Limerick.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
- Assist in the management of subcontractors.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
- Maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- Review the SWP’s (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on-site.
- Carry out Inductions and Toolbox talks as required.
Requirements:
- 3+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
- Hold a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
- Experience in Construction is required.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
