We are seeking a motivated Legal Executive to join the team. The role arises to replace an existing team member who is sadly leaving us to take up her call to the Bar.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and organised file management systems to ensure efficient case handling support.

Attending court with instructed counsel to assist with the progression of matters on the day.

Proactively monitor case progress, identifying key deadlines, upcoming motions, and trial preparation requirements.

Drafting correspondence to clients, opposing solicitors, and third parties.

Drafting pleadings and other court documents for lodgement in the High Court and Commercial Court.

Preparing matters for hearing, including compiling, and organising, court booklets and trial bundles.

Drafting briefs for counsel and assisting with case strategy and hearing preparation.

Supporting the day-to-day case management.

Liaising directly with counsel.

Assisting with client communication and ensuring a high standard of client service is maintained throughout the lifecycle of each file.

Handling Personal Injuries Resolution Board applications in order to progress matters.

Preparation and submission of Statement of Recoverable Benefits application forms to gain access to relevant information.

Managing and reviewing discovery documentation received by other side.

Managing and reviewing discovery documentation received by clients for the purpose of assessing discoverability.

Organising medical appointments to assess the Plaintiffs claims.

Communicating with Engineers to organise inspections.

Arranging consultations concerning liability or pre-trial preparation.

Contributing to billing narratives, cost tracking, and overall matter management.

Attending on Counsel at motions and hearings.

Attend the office a minimum 3 days a week.

Previous experience working in Litigation, particularly, Defendant Injury work.
