Specialized Travel Services – Cork Office (Office-Based)
Are you passionate about Irish tourism and creating exceptional travel experiences? Specialized Travel Services is seeking an experienced, organised and enthusiastic FIT Co-ordinator to join our growing team in our Cork office.
Working with international travel agents and direct clients, you will play a key role in coordinating tailor-made and independent travel arrangements throughout Ireland, ensuring every itinerary is delivered to the highest standard from enquiry through to departure.
About the Role
As FIT Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing tailor-made and independent travel bookings, creating seamless travel experiences for clients visiting Ireland. You will liaise with hotels, transport providers, attractions and tourism suppliers across the country while working closely with our sales and reservations team.
This is an office-based position in our Cork office and is ideal for someone with a strong background in Irish tourism who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum 2 years' experience working within the Irish tourism industry is essential – please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage FIT reservations for accommodation, attractions, transport and tourism services throughout Ireland.
- Prepare quotations, bespoke itineraries, booking confirmations and travel documentation.
- Liaise daily with hotels, visitor attractions, transport providers and tourism suppliers.
- Ensure all reservations are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Handle client and travel agent enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate booking records using reservation and tour operating systems.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure the best service and value for clients.
- Monitor booking amendments, cancellations and final travel arrangements.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth delivery of all travel arrangements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within the Irish tourism industry is essential – please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
- Previous experience in FIT reservations, tour operations, destination management or independent travel planning.
- Excellent knowledge of tourism products, accommodation and experiences throughout Ireland.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation or tour operating systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Experience negotiating with tourism suppliers and hotels is an advantage.
