We’re hiring on behalf of a growing wholesale distributor in Cork and need someone who can take full ownership of supply chain, purchasing, freight costs, and margin control.
It’s fast-paced, commercial, and very cross-functional — you’ll work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and external partners to make sure products land on time, at the right cost, and deliver the right margin.
We need someone who thinks commercially, takes real ownership, and stays on top of stock across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Running day-to-day purchasing and supply chain across multiple product lines
- Managing relationships with international suppliers and logistics partners
- Tracking freight costs (air & sea) and making decisions based on sales and margin
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and shipping with suppliers
- Owning landed costs and keeping margins under control
- Working with Finance and Commercial teams on forecasting and stock planning
- Using data to improve availability, reduce costs, and drive efficiency
- Supporting new product launches and growth areas
- Continuously improving purchasing and logistics processes
- Balancing stock levels, service, and shipping decisions as the business scales
What you need
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, purchasing, or operations
- Strong understanding of international suppliers, freight, and landed margins
- Comfortable making air vs sea decisions based on demand
- Commercial mindset — you understand how cost impacts profit
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Solid Excel / ERP capability
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, retail, or electronics is a plus
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

Pay: €40,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
