Swimming Teacher – Waterpoint, Enniscrone
Location: Waterpoint, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo

Working Hours:
Monday–Friday: 3:30pm–6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am–12:00pm
Approx. 15.5 hours per week
Waterpoint is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Swimming Teacher to join our team in Enniscrone.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching swimming and helping children develop their confidence, skills and enjoyment in the water. The successful candidate will deliver safe, engaging and well-structured swimming lessons while maintaining a friendly and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver group swimming lessons for children across a range of abilities and levels.
- Plan and deliver structured, progressive and enjoyable swimming sessions.
- Assess swimmers and support their progression through the appropriate swimming levels.
- Assist with school swimming lessons and intensive swimming programmes when required.
- Maintain high standards of safety and supervision at all times.
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents, children and colleagues.
- Assist with class lists, assessments and swimmer progression.
- Work closely with the Pool Manager and wider Waterpoint team.
- Follow all Waterpoint operating procedures, safeguarding policies and health & safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Swimming Teacher qualification.
- Confidence teaching children of different ages and swimming abilities.
- Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable personality.
- Reliable, organised and punctual.
- Strong communication skills with children and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for swimming and helping children progress.
- Availability Monday–Friday from 3:30pm–6:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am–12:00pm.
Previous swimming teaching experience is preferred, but we are also happy to hear from newly qualified teachers who are enthusiastic and keen to develop their experience.
