Churchfield Home Services is seeking experienced Skilled Operatives to join our External Wall Insulation (EWI) teams, working across residential retrofit projects throughout Dublin and the wider Leinster region.
This is a hands-on installation role for someone with practical construction or insulation experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Working alongside an External Insulation Supervisor and installation team, you will support all stages of EWI installation while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required CHS, NSAI and SEAI standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist EWI skills within a growing retrofit business, with opportunities to progress into supervisory roles based on competence and performance.
What You'll Do
- Carry out hands-on External Wall Insulation works under Supervisor direction.
- Support all key stages of EWI installation, including enabling works, boarding, basecoat, mesh, render and completion.
- Prepare substrates, materials, tools, PPE and working areas before installation.
- Install insulation boards, fixings, starter tracks, beads and trims accurately.
- Support basecoat, mesh, priming and render application.
- Reinstate downpipes, vents, fixtures and other items following installation.
- Follow Works Orders, PSDs, RAMS and Supervisor instructions.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and customer property protection.
- Identify defects, safety concerns or installation issues and escalate them promptly.
- Complete required site photographs and support accurate records.
- Take care of company tools, equipment and materials.
- Work positively as part of the installation team to deliver projects Right First Time.
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.
- Previous experience in External Wall Insulation, insulation, rendering, plastering or construction.
- Strong practical and hands-on ability.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work effectively under Supervisor direction.
- Comfortable working at height and using scaffold access.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Professional approach when working in and around customers' homes.
- Safe Pass.
- Manual Handling.
- Working at Heights.
- Full Category B driving licence.
- Legally permitted to work in Ireland.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
Previous EWI system or manufacturer training would be advantageous.
