Quantity Surveyor (Project-Based)
Location: Longford (with site travel as required)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of construction projects across Ireland. This role involves working closely with project teams to ensure effective cost control, accurate reporting, and successful delivery from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractor procurement, packages, and final accounts
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
- Monitor project costs, variations, and cash flow
- Review drawings and identify changes from tender stage
- Prepare and agree variations with clients
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and subcontractors
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract management
- Experience in structural steel or similar projects is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
