We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Auto Electrician / Technician to join our team in Spiddal, Co Galway. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining vehicle electrical and mechanical systems across a range of vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both auto-electrical systems and vehicle mechanics, with the ability to work independently and confidently troubleshoot complex faults.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
Install, wire, test, and commission electrical components and vehicle equipment.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
Carry out electrical fault-finding and diagnostic work using specialist diagnostic equipment.
Identify faults, repair vehicle systems, and program vehicle components where required.
Perform mechanical repairs and servicing as necessary.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Work independently while managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report any significant faults or issues.
Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies, systems, and diagnostic techniques.
Undertake additional training as required to support ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Relevant automotive industry experience is essential.
Full, clean driving licence is essential.
HGV licence would be advantageous.
Willingness to undertake additional training when required.
Pay: €30,308.26-€52,922.67 per year
