Job Overview
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the Food & Beverage (F&B) department. This role ensures that high standards of quality, guest satisfaction, and revenue optimization are consistently maintained. The position involves developing and implementing departmental strategies aligned with brand initiatives and overall hotel goals. As a member of the executive committee, the manager contributes to hotel-wide strategies that enhance guest experiences and employee performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Standards
Uphold and promote the hotel’s mission and objectives in all activities.
Implement and maintain quality systems to ensure high standards across all F&B operations.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals are current and regularly reviewed.
Conduct regular audits to assess service quality and implement improvement strategies.
Maintain brand standards, cleanliness, customer engagement, security, and stock control.
Ensure compliance with Holiday Inn brand standards at all times.
Operations Management
Oversee daily F&B operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service.
Conduct duty management shifts as required, completing checklists per hotel procedures.
Ensure team members adhere to hygiene, appearance, and conduct standards.
Monitor food & beverage pricing, budget, and revenue to maximize profitability.
Training & Development
Develop and implement service training programs for staff to enhance guest satisfaction.
Identify training needs and ensure all required training is conducted and documented.
Encourage continuous professional development for team members.
Attend training sessions as required by the hotel.
Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported and documented.
Maintain high-security standards throughout the hotel.
Ensure fire and emergency procedures are understood and followed.
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
Conduct monthly audits on F&B operations and take corrective actions as needed.
People Management

Conduct staff appraisals, identifying high-potential employees for career progression.
•
Assist in the recruitment and selection process for F&B personnel.
•
Implement and enforce disciplinary and grievance procedures.
•
Promote teamwork, morale, and motivation within the F&B department.
•
Encourage and reward innovative ideas from team members to improve service and efficiency.
Communication & Collaboration
•
Maintain open and effective communication with management and department heads.
•
Hold weekly F&B meetings to align on goals and operations.
•
Ensure all staff are informed of promotions, special activities, and hotel updates.
Financial Management
•
Monitor financial performance, ensuring F&B revenue maximization and cost control.
•
Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
•
Track and analyse sales data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
•
Implement sales strategies to optimize profitability.
•
Manage wage costs in line with budget targets.
Guest Experience & Sales Development
•
Actively engage with guests to gather feedback on service and product quality.
•
Address guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
•
Work with the marketing team to promote F&B outlets and special events.
•
Assist in implementing a sales plan to enhance revenue opportunities.
•
Support customer entertainment and relationship-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Compliance
•
Collaborate with sister hotels to maximize referral business opportunities.
•
Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol policies.
•
Monitor staffing levels and adjust as needed to meet operational demands.
•
Assist in menu development and pricing strategies with the Head Chef.
•
Conduct regular F&B stock takes and audits to maintain cost efficiency.
•
Oversee overall cleanliness and organization of F&B areas.
•
Ensure all purchases and hotel opening requirements are verified and documented.
•
Maintain a strong presence in the hotel, particularly during peak hours.
•
Conduct hotel show rounds for prospective clients and guests.
•
Stay updated on industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €31,500.00-€32,500.00 per year
