Purchasing / Planning Officer
AMK Ireland (formally DriveRite Ltd) is part of the German AMK Group, who are renowned for delivering state-of-the-art automotive air suspension systems. With over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, our design engineers continue to play a major role in developing new and innovative air-suspension systems for OEM and aftermarket applications.
We are recruiting an experienced Purchasing / Planning Officer to join our operations team at our Dublin office and take responsibility for procurement, inbound logistics, and stock management along with executing product life cycle metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for our portfolio of manufacturing components (Automotive sector).
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with international suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and sales teams to align product specifications, supply chain requirements, and the product lifecycle.
- Implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels along with demand forecasting, minimising excess inventory, and improving stock turnover. rates to meet customer needs without incurring unnecessary cost
- Defines and implements projects to optimize the supply chain in support of business strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including audits and compliance checks.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and cost optimisation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a purchasing/planning role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing components and global supply chains.
- Must have experience working with an ERP System (ideally SAP)
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to develop and grow relationships with stakeholders
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
