The Security Guard will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.
Responsibilities
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Discreetly observe for signs of theft / stock loss
- Act lawfully in direct defense of property
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Regularly patrol and survey the building
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras
- Close the building at night and complete necessary security checks
The Person
- Previous experience as a security guard, a static PSA licence and ideally a Door Supervisor PSA licence.
- Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to detect any suspicious activities.
- Be discrete in dealing with any suspicious activities.
- Be a good communicator who is able to work effectively with other areas of the business.
- A trustworthy and honest individual.
- Very flexible - hours of work will vary and the business is open 7 days a week from 8am to 3am, depending on the day.
