RIGHT Group is a leading M&E contractor in the Water/Wastewater industry, with a first-class Apprenticeship Programme and a strong track record of bringing apprentices through to fully qualified craftspersons. We are recruiting Mechanical Fitter Apprentices based out of our Castleisland office, working on sites throughout the region.
As an apprentice fitter you will train in the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, automated and process equipment - assembling, fitting and repairing parts, diagnosing faults, and maintaining pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems - working from technical drawings with precision tools on live water and wastewater treatment plants, under close guidance and supervision. You will complete the SOLAS Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting (MAMF) apprenticeship, a four-year, seven-phase programme alternating on-the-job training with your employer and off-the-job phases at national training locations, leading to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft.

A genuine interest in mechanical work, with hands-on aptitude and good coordination and hand skills

A clean, tidy and workmanlike appearance

Adherence to all SHEQ and company standards

Care for company property, tools and equipment

Willingness to travel to sites across the region and attend off-the-job training phases

A full driving licence, or actively working towards one, is an advantage
Entry requirements (SOLAS): minimum age 16, and either Grade D/"Achieved" in five subjects in the Junior Cycle or equivalent, an approved pre-apprenticeship course, or three years' relevant work experience gained over the age of 16 with a SOLAS assessment interview.
