Key responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate payroll for multiple European countries and entities
- Work closely with internal and external partners, including our outsourced payroll vendor, HR, the Benefits and Stock teams, authorities, and auditors
- Review internal processes and service delivery, recommend improvements, and help implement them
- Partner with teams across the business to streamline and simplify ways of working
- Contribute to payroll-related projects
- Communicate clearly with the business and our employees, taking ownership of ad hoc queries through to resolution
- Uphold eBay's DNA
What you bring
- 3+ years' experience in complex payroll delivery, ideally within a shared service team
- Experience in a large organisation, handling high volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of regulatory payroll requirements across several EMEA countries
- Good understanding of payroll topics such as benefits, equity, and shadow/hypo tax
- Comfortable working with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up analysis, documentation, and recurring tasks — and open to learning new ones as they emerge
- A detail -, and goal-oriented approach
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities accurately and efficiently
- Reliability, commitment, flexibility, and a talent for working in virtual teams
- Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus
