Lynx Transport and Logistics are currently seeking a Supervisor (Night Shift) to join our team. In this role, you will work within a team of operatives to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and transport operations.
Night shift role 23:00 - 08:00 Monday night to Friday Night.
This role is fast paced and requires supervisor to be active on the floor working alongside the operatives.
Your primary responsibilities will be to manage a team of operatives to:
- Ensure Freight is unloaded from the trailers with due care.
- Inspect freight on arrival into the warehouse and all damages / discrepancies are reported immediately.
- Freight is stored in the correct designated locations in the warehouse.
- Freight is loaded onto the delivery vehicles as per manifested transport plans.
- Promote continuous improvement and ability to problem solve.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
The successful candidate:
- Forklift skills required.
- Action orientated – someone who demonstrates a readiness to take the initiative and originate action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good geographical area knowledge of the west of Ireland.
- Problem-solving skills: think critically and find efficient solutions to challenges that may arise in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to shunt trucks will be an advantage. (c licence)
