On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). Its operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants), The UK and Lommel (6 manufacturing plants) and Europe (9 manufacturing plants). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees).
The role
- Lead and direct divisional financial business planning around quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, including recommending assumptions, risks and opportunities for volume and sales revenue.
- Own the Commercial budget for sales, volumes, material costs and other operational metrics and communicate to the plant management and plant finance teams
- Perform and lead financial performance review of market segments/product lines/customer trends, communicate insights across cross functional teams, with responsibility for preparation of frequent performance reports for divisional and group finance teams.
- Central point of contact for the commercial team to drive optimal pricing decisions and strategic initiatives around growth and profitability
- Owner of the Commercial Effectiveness process and lighthouse metrics to “see around the corner” and communicate to management the appropriate actions required to be taken to ensure optimal business performance
- Gain a thorough understanding of the product portfolio and work cross functionally with Operations colleagues to challenge any products that are not meeting expected margins and to ensure that product mix is in line with Operational expectations
- Actively partner during commercial contract and supply agreement reviews, providing input on customer terms, price adjustment mechanisms for resin and non-resin, price calculations, rebates etc
- Lead pricing and cost modeling process for existing and new commercial opportunities. Prepare ROI analysis models for new capex projects
- Lead the Commercial Finance team in providing key intel relating to product mix, pricing dynamics etc at month end to bring full visibility to financial results.
- Continuously looking to improve insights and following through on actions as required to ensure that optimal finance results are achieved through connecting with our Business Analytics team to ensure decisions are supported with reliable data driven insights
- Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, with the ability to influence and engage across a wide group of internal stakeholders, enabling the ability to challenge decisions based on expertise and personal credibility
- Responsible for coaching and developing direct reports and managing high-performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions
Ensure strong communication between finance and commercial team to facilitate the exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
- Complete regular performance reviews, and manage attendance, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualified accountant with minimum of 7 years PQE, preferably within manufacturing, with solid demonstration of Finance Partnering in Commercial finance
Experience with analysing large amounts of data, and ability to synthesize financial / business impact information into clear and concise summaries for presentations.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
ERP experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
Experience in a Private Equity (PE) or PLC environment is advantageous
