We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their culinary skills in a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in compliance with HACCP requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food stock.Keep workstations clean, organised, and sanitised at all times.
- Support senior chefs during service and assist with kitchen operations.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen practices.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
