About Senior Link Homecare
Senior Link Homecare is expanding its services and is currently seeking an
experienced Social Care Worker to support the Accommodation Service for children
under 18 years. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional with
experience working within regulated services.
This role is a key position within our registration application and service development
process.
Please note: conditional upon the successful registration and award of a licence and
commencement of service operations. This is a conditional appointment.
Employment, salary, contracted hours, and associated benefits will commence only
upon successful registration, approval, and operational commencement of the
Emergency Accommodation Service.
The Role
The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Link Homecare's management
team to support the establishment of a high-quality, child-centred emergency
accommodation service that complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, and
National Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of policies, procedures, and operational systems.
Assist in preparing documentation required for registration and inspection
processes.
Promote safeguarding and child protection best practices.
Support the development of care planning and placement procedures.
Contribute to quality assurance and risk management systems.
Work collaboratively with management and external stakeholders.
Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Overall Wellbeing of Children
Essential Requirements
Degree Level 7 or higher qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies,
Social Work, Youth and Community Work, or another qualification recognised
by CORU.
Minimum 3 years' experience working in:
o Children-funded services;
o Residential childcare;
o Emergency accommodation;
o Supported accommodation; or
o Child protection and welfare services.
Strong understanding of:
o Children First legislation;
o Children Safeguarding requirements;
o National Standards for Children's Residential Centres;
o Child-centred care practices.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Full clean driving licence.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable Requirements
Experience working within a children's residential service.
Experience preparing for regulated inspections.
Experience developing policies and procedures.
Experience in emergency placements or crisis intervention services.
