Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a small business. The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Administration
- Process purchase invoices and supplier payments.
- Issue sales invoices and monitor customer accounts.
- Reconcile bank, supplier, and customer accounts.
- Assist with credit control and debt collection activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Prepare and process expense claims.
- Assist with payroll administration when required.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Liaise with external accountants, suppliers, and customers as needed.
- ECommerce content administration
Administrative Duties
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Manage incoming emails and telephone enquiries.
- Assist with general office administration tasks.
- Ensure all records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in an accounts administration, bookkeeping, or finance administration role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Hardworking, dependable, and professional.
Desirable
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central, or similar systems.
- Experience working within a small business environment.
