Summary of Role:
We require an experienced candidate with a passion for working with people who will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and safe running of a large family hub. This role will report to the Team Leader or Junior Team Leader on duty. There will be an opportunity for professional development and pay increases to the right candidate who successfully demonstrates their commitment in the role.
Key roles and responsibilities:
General:
· Responding to any requests from residents in the facility in a courteous and professional manner e.g. additional bedding, other supplies
· Participate in light cleaning as directed by the Team Leader or Junior Team Leader
· Ensure the facility is kept in a clean, orderly manner at all times and risks or hazards are dealt with in a timely manner.
· Reporting any incidents of concern to Team Leader or Junior Team Leader, providing accurate and detailed accounts.
· Completing any tasks and duties delegated during the shift
· Ability to approach any crisis or incident in a calm, controlled manner
· Assist in monitoring the CCTV, complete scheduled building checks and walks.
· Maintain presence at the reception desk ensuring only authorised visitors are allowed into the building
· Adhere to the company’s standard operating procedures and policies at all time
· Work in tandem with the day shift team to ensure that all company standard operating procedures and policies are always adhered to, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the residents.
· Ensure that facilities at the family hub are up to standards for all residents and used in a safe and appropriate manner.
Experienced required:
· 2 year’s paid experience working in a social care field, desirably in a residential setting
· Prior experience working in homeless services or other low threshold setting
· Understand the importance for Health and Safety in a residential setting.
· Be a good communicator and computer literate
· Demonstrate a strong level of empathy and professionalism to all residents and staff
· Have a strong positive attitude and aptitude
· Formal qualifications are not required for this post (but a qualification in a social care field and/or mental health work would be desirable)
· Training will be provided but any additional training in Children’s first, First Aid, previous Fire Warden experience will be a distinct advantage
Shift hours
8pm-8am Monday to Sunday
84 hours over 2 weeks
