Darbec Engineering Ltd. is a fast‑growing company specialising in CNC machine tool maintenance, industrial maintenance, and project work. We’re expanding our team and looking for a Field Service Engineer to support our growing CNC customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical & mechanical faults
- Install and commission CNC machinery
- Perform annual preventative maintenance
- Work directly with machine tool manufacturers to support customer needs
Essential Criteria
- Based in Ireland
- Full, clean Irish driving licence
- Knowledge of CNC machines and their application
- Minimum 2 years’ hands on experience within a maintenance environment
- Understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to travel freely between Ireland & the UK
- Strong spoken and written English; excellent communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Hands‑on experience with Hurco CNC machinery
- Electrical & mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Understanding of PLC‑controlled systems
- Good computer hardware knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret system schematics
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 6 mechanical or electrical qualification
- Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with industrial machine mechanical & electrical systems

This is a field-based role with a significant amount of travel involved.
