Garden Centre Retail Assistant
Full-Time | The Pavilion Garden Centre
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join our team at The Pavilion Garden Centre.
This is a varied retail role involving customer service, sales and merchandising, with a strong focus on creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in plants, gardening and horticulture, along with previous retail or customer service experience. You will be confident talking to customers, understanding their needs and using your product knowledge and selling skills to help them make the right choice.
The role includes:
- Providing warm, knowledgeable and engaging customer service
- Helping customers with product selection and sales
- Merchandising and maintaining attractive, well-presented displays
- Keeping the shop floor organised, inspiring and fully stocked
- Developing product knowledge across plants, gardening and seasonal ranges
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for plants, gardening and horticulture
- Has previous retail and customer service experience
- Has strong selling and communication skills
- Brings positive energy, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
- Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a busy, supportive team
- Is confident, approachable and enjoys helping people
