IMC is looking for an ambitious supervisor who enjoys dealing with people in a fast-paced customer-facing environment in Ballina.
Cinema experience is not a requirement, as full training will be given but previous experience would be beneficial. Proven leisure or retail management or supervisory experience would be an advantage. You must be hands on, able to manage a team and motivate them to provide a professional, high-quality and successful cinema experience to our customers.
TYPICAL ORGANISATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Supervisors are responsible for promoting effective visitor services, whilst ensuring business objectives are achieved. Typical work activities include:
- achieving audience and sales targets
- ensuring audience satisfaction
- advertising, promoting & marketing films locally to ensure optimum profit
- handling press and public relations (PR)
- managing promotions within the cinema
- budgeting and stock control
- developing an understanding of the local market, including customer expectations
- liaising with film societies and other groups within the industry
- preparing reports, statistics and forecasts
- complying with licensing and health and safety regulations
- recruiting, training and supervising full and part-time staff to work as a team (HR)
- marketing the cinema within a local arena

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED
Retail Management experience required.
