The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure. As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network. In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland.
Colas Ireland is looking for an HGV Driver/ Operative to support delivery of bitumen distribution and road‑maintenance work. You’ll make sure customers get timely, safe and reliable service while helping the business meet quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
Operate and maintain trucks, plant and road‑maintenance equipment as authorised. Carry out deliveries, complete daily vehicle/plant checks and keep required logs. Load materials, clean equipment and assist with site tasks such as traffic management, basic maintenance and general housekeeping. Complete required paperwork using company devices, report incidents, wear and look after issued PPE, and follow site rules. You may be moved between crews or sites as needed.
You will be reliable, self‑motivated and able to work with little supervision. You must hold the relevant licence/operator card, be fluent in English and willing to attend training. Good communication, attention to detail and basic IT skills for completing digital forms are required. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential.
