Supply Chain Coordinator

About Us
We are a growing construction company delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across Ireland. We are looking for an organised, proactive, and commercially minded Supply Chain Coordinator to help build and manage our network of subcontractors and suppliers while supporting the successful delivery of our projects.
The Role
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a key role in sourcing, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. You will work closely with our estimating, project management, and commercial teams to ensure the right trades and suppliers are engaged for each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify new subcontractors and suppliers across Ireland.
- Build and maintain a database of approved subcontractors and service supply chain.
- Obtain quotations and compare costs for subcontractor packages and materials.
- Assist with subcontractor prequalification and onboarding.
- Coordinate tender enquiries and follow up on quotations.
- Liaise with project managers to identify labour and subcontractor requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, availability, and delivery schedules where appropriate.
- Ensure all subcontractors have the required insurance, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new supply chain partners.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain accurate records.
- Support procurement planning to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Assist with continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain processes.
Requirements
- Experience in construction procurement, supply chain, buying, or subcontractor coordination.
- Knowledge of the Irish construction industry and subcontractor market.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with construction software is an advantage but not essential.
- Full driving licence preferred.
Desirable
- Previous experience working for a main contractor or construction company.
- Understanding of procurement procedures and subcontract agreements.
- Experience sourcing multiple construction trades.
