Requirements
· A minimum 6months experience and proven track record of working as a Catering Assistant
· Experienced and trained on HACCP management systems.
· Proven experience in the preparation and cooking of food
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, outgoing and dedicated to outstanding customer service
· Ability to work on own initiative and supportively as a member of the team
· A willingness to undertake further training and development as required
· A respect and understanding of the community and youth sector
The Catering Assistant will work under the guidance of the Café Manager
Health & Safety /Hygiene
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment sin line with legal requirements.
Service Delivery
· Assist in the preparation, cook and serve food for the daily menu
· Ensure adherence is being maintained in relation to the control of waste and recycling
· Report any customer complaints or compliments to the Café Manager
· Report any incidents or accident, fire, loss damage or other irregularities to the Café Manager
· Attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary
Hours of Work:
24 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with shifts allocated on a rotational basis.
Applicants must be available to work flexibly across all operating days and shift patterns to support the needs of the youth service.
Pay: €14.15 per hour
