Aska Sykes is a leading specialist hire and sales company, focused on supplying pumping, heating, cooling and associated products nationwide. We have 8 depots located throughout the country and an opportunity now arises for a Service /Maintenance Technician in our HVAC division.
Based out of our depot in Limerick, the role will involve will involve looking after our HVAC hire fleet to include, heaters, aircon, boilers and associate equipment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned servicing of hire equipment and ensuring readiness for hire.
- Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting faults to minimise downtime.
- Maintaining and repairing equipment post hire and storing accordingly.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with health & safety and manufacuturers standards.
- Completing maintenance records and documentation accurately.
- Working with Parts Manager to maintain and reorder parts.
About You
- Trade qualification in plumbing, electrical, mechanics is preferable but on-the-job experience is acceptable.
- Previous experience in general equipment maintenance and an interest in equipment and machinery.
- Working knowledge of electrics and/or plumbing.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Able to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues effectively.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
