Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field
5 years + experience
Demonstrated ability to develop and executive successful marketing and communication campaigns and strategies in an international setting.
Experience of CRM system implementation
Ability to think creatively and develop & manage innovative marketing and branding campaigns
Excellent communication and cross functional interdepartmental and personal skills
Self-motivated, proactive individual with the ability to work collaboratively across a diverse workforce.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development
The Marketing & Communications Manager will play a crucial role in shaping, promoting, and maintaining Collen’s brand identity on an international scale. The responsibilities of the role will encompass a range of strategic, creative, analytical, innovative and operational tasks aimed at ensuring the Collen brand is recognised internationally and synonymous with the company’s values
The role will be based in head office in Dublin 3, available on a hybrid basis with international travel required.
Brand Strategy Development
Market Research: Conducting international market research to understand industry trends, stakeholder preferences and competitive forces.
Positioning: Defining the unique employer and employee value proposition
Brand Vision and Mission: Developing and articulating a clear brand vision and mission that aligns with the company's goals, objectives and values.
Brand Identity Management
Visual Identity: Ensuring consistent use of logos, colour schemes, typography, and other visual elements across all marketing materials, internal & external communications.
Brand Guidelines: Creating and maintaining brand guidelines to ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms, operations, and departments.
Operational
Internal Systems: Set up processes and systems to manage the internal marketing and design department to ensure that workflows are streamlined. This includes:
triaging of all design briefs (filtering briefs and allocating timings for deliverables)
managing company expectations as to how to provide briefs for design.
clearly communicating what falls within the designer’s remit.
streamlining processes such as website and intranet updates to ensure cost effectiveness and relevance.
finding the best suppliers and partner to work with
Manage a strategic calendar of events – projected strategy/ deliverables for the year ahead
Marketing and Advertising
Campaigns: Create, plan and executing marketing campaigns and manage an annual calendar of events to align with the company’s strategic goals, key milestones, project deliverables and initiatives
Digital Marketing: Curate content, manage and expand the company's online presence across all channels
Internal Communications: Inspire, build & cultivate best in class collaborative partnerships with managers across all departments
Public Relations and Communication
Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with industry media, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage. Writing and editing press releases.
Crisis Management: Handling communication during crises or negative publicity to protect the brand's reputation.
Internal Communication: Ensure consistent corporate messaging is embraced by all stakeholders across the organisation and embodies the company brand values
Client Experience
Client Relations: Enhancing the client’s experience by ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the brand's values and promises.
Feedback and Improvement: Collecting and analysing feedback to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes that enhance the company’s brand.
Partnerships and Sponsorships
Strategic Alliances: Identifying and establishing partnerships with other brands, industry associations, and events that align with the company's brand values.
Sponsorships: Managing sponsorship opportunities to increase brand visibility and credibility.
Performance Measurement
KPIs and Metrics: Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of branding efforts.
Reporting: Provide monthly reports to the Collen executive board, including full analysis and interpretation of data on key metrics and deliver insights into business decisions.
Innovation and Trends
Industry Trends: Staying up to date on emerging trends and technological advancements to keep the brand relevant.
Innovation: Encouraging innovation in branding practices and exploring new channels and methods to enhance brand awareness
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction industry and its unique challenges and opportunities and other reputable industries with transferable knowledge.
