Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Supervisor for a Gala Store in Ballinhassig, Cork. In this role you shall oversee the daily operation of our store ensuring the highest levels of standard, store performance, and operational efficiency. Engage with customers to build brand loyalty and encourage repeat business. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including H&S, loss prevention and cash handling.
Team Leadership & Staff Development

Lead, train, and develop forecourt shop staff.

Foster a positive team environment and deliver excellent customer service.
Customer Service & Experience

Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly.

Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and the overall customer experience.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
-
Order, receive, and manage stock levels.
-
Minimise waste and optimise inventory.
-
Conduct bi-weekly stocktakes for designated categories (e.g. Off Licence and Tobacco).

Coordinate and complete quarterly stocktakes.
Sales Performance & Promotions
-
Drive sales through product knowledge and upselling.
-
Implement promotional campaigns and customer loyalty initiatives.
Health, Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented retail environment.
Store Operations & Cash Management
-
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the forecourt shop, including opening and closing procedures.

Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

Reconcile daily cash and submit reports to Head Office.

Reconcile the ATM on a daily basis.
Security & Loss Prevention
-
Monitor CCTV and investigate potential security issues where required.

Adhere to company security procedures and loss prevention policies.
Experience & Qualifications

Previous retail or customer service experience.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and stock management.

Ability to safely lift and move stock.

About the job:
