Kiltipper Woods Care Centre, a purpose-built centre established in 2004, is expanding our team and seeking Healthcare Assistants for full-time and part-time positions (22 hours per week minimum). Our multidisciplinary team provides a range of specialist care services including care of the older person, the younger person with a disability, people with Dementia/Alzheimer's and step-down care, convalescence, and rehabilitation care services. Kiltipper Woods Care Centre provides outpatient rehabilitation and wellness therapies through our physiotherapy and hydrotherapy clinic.
Role Overview:
Healthcare Assistants support Nursing Staff in delivering high-quality, person-centered care. You will ensure the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of residents while maintaining professional standards and adherence to care policies.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care, feeding, and mobility support

Support residents during mealtimes and ensure dietary needs are met

Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are based on respect and equality and that promote their independence

Observe and report changes in residents' condition to Nursing Staff

Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident areas, equipment, and personal belongings

Support recreational and social activities
-
Follow policies on moving and handling, infection control, and safety regulations

Participate in training, orientation, and professional development
Qualifications & Essential Skills:

QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support with 8 modules completed, including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person

Previous experience in the care of older persons

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills

Professional judgement, reasoning, and problem-solving skills

Person-centred approach to resident/patient care

Willingness to undertake further education and training

Hold a valid work permit for Ireland
